Black&White Photojournal: 20 Photos from Istanbul

Turkey is full of colors – the spices, the fabrics, the waves on the sea…however, it is also full of contrasts.
Let me take you on a black & white journey to its capital, Istanbul, in this photo essay. Along with twenty photos, I also include 3 quotes that have taken my fancy. Enjoy them with me:

    • Thank you 🙂 I was amazed by the mosque architecture and decoration – I like how the mosques also serve as public parks and even people who don´t go to pray spend a few relaxing minutes sitting on the grass or hanging around. I find it a really great idea to interrupt whatever you are doing 5 times a day and focus on something else, be it a prayer or just a couple of minutes of leisure.

  1. I always see photos of bright beautiful colours when I see articles about Turkey and I just love that you have done a different spin with the black and white but still captured a real personality of the place. You’re so talented & creative which is inspiring. Your images are just perfect & I love that you’ve shared this with us. Thank you!
